" JL Properties Extends Support to Fire Victims in Abofu, Greater Accra Region "

In the wake of adversity, community support shines brightest. JL Properties Limited, a wholly Ghanaian-owned real estate company, recently stepped forward to aid victims of a devastating fire in Abofu, within the Okaikoi North Constituency of the Greater Accra Region. Recognizing the urgent need for assistance, the company presented assorted items worth GHc20,000 to 250 affected individuals, comprising both homeowners and shop owners who lost their properties in the blaze.

The donation, consisting of essentials such as mattresses, soap, water, rice, and cooking oil, underscores JL Properties' commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to supporting the communities in which it operates. Mrs. Elizabeth Orleans-Lindsay, representing the company's board, conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the victims, emphasizing the company's concern for their plight.

The presentation ceremony, graced by Mr. Fuseini Issah, the Member of Parliament for the Okaikoi North Constituency, witnessed commendations for JL Properties' benevolent gesture. Mr. Issah praised the company's swift response and urged other institutions to follow suit in offering assistance to those in need.

Acknowledging the challenges faced in providing immediate relief and long-term solutions, Mr. Issah emphasized the collaborative efforts required to bridge the gap between expectation and reality. He underscored the need for continued engagement and exploration of possibilities to address the victims' plight effectively.

Mrs. Gladys Ayorkor, the Queen Mother of Abofu, expressed gratitude on behalf of the recipients and appealed to other institutions to contribute to ongoing relief efforts. Her sentiments were echoed by Rose Jakpasu, one of the beneficiaries, who conveyed appreciation to JL Properties and called for further support in securing permanent accommodation for the affected families.

The fire, which occurred on May 3rd, engulfed scores of shops and wooden houses, leaving behind devastation estimated at about GHS 1 million. While the prompt response of the Ghana National Fire Service mitigated further damage, the aftermath left numerous families displaced and in urgent need of assistance.

In times of crisis, the strength of a community is revealed through collective action and compassion. JL Properties' generous donation serves as a beacon of hope for the fire victims of Abofu, demonstrating the transformative impact of corporate social responsibility in rebuilding lives and fostering resilience. As efforts continue to provide relief and support, the spirit of unity and solidarity remains steadfast, guiding the journey towards recovery and restoration
